━ PCL Team
We believe the gospel calls us to serve near and far, which is why we partner with People for Care and Learning (PCL)—a faith-based humanitarian organization dedicated to transforming lives and communities through sustainable, Christ-centered development.
PCL focuses its efforts in Southeast Asia, especially Cambodia, investing in children, families, and neighborhoods through education, vocational training, clean water access, and feeding initiatives. Their poverty alleviation approach is rooted in reflecting the love of Jesus in practical, lasting ways.
The Kingdom of Cambodia, is a Southeast Asian nation of approximately 17.42 million people. Cambodia covers about 69,900 square miles, making it roughly the same size as the state of Oklahoma.
Through our partnership with PCL, we’re working together to bring hope, dignity, and the love of Christ to children, families, and entire communities across Cambodia.
Dr. Fred Toke and his wife Agnes are beloved members of the Woodlawn Church family and passionate representatives of PCL. Their deep commitment to serving others shines through every time they visit, strengthening the bond between Woodlawn and PCL’s mission.
Together, Fred and Agnes have dedicated themselves to advancing education, care, and hope in Cambodia, sharing firsthand stories and encouragement that inspire our community.
We’re blessed to have Fred and Agnes by our side, championing lives transformed through Christ-centered care and learning.
Each November through Christmas, Woodlawn Church partners with PCL through Buy A Tree. Change A Life.—a powerful initiative where 50% of all Christmas tree sales support children and families in Cambodia through PCL, and the other half benefits The Legacy Project of Stark.
But the impact doesn’t have to wait. You can make a difference today by giving directly to help sponsor a child through our ongoing partnership with PCL. Your generosity brings hope, education, and the love of Christ to those who need it most.
